March 31, 2022

Concordia Publishing House's Galatians Faith Course is here! Join Dr. Andrew Das in this Galatians bible study as he shares the unfolding drama and eternal lessons of St. Paul's letter to the Galatians. Read Dr. Das's work in the Concordia Commentary on Galatians: https://www.cph.org/p-24356-Galatians-Concordia-Commentary.aspx Here in session one, you'll begin with Galatians 1 explained by Dr. Das, as well as an overview of Paul's reasons for writing his letter to the church in Galatia. Dr. Das emphasizes Paul's repeated use of family language to address the believers, noting the ways this informs their understanding of God's mercy. Adopting Christ's own words, Paul describes the church as a family. Paul grounds this in the example of his own conversion, which was a powerful reversal of his life spent persecuting Christians. He causes the Galatians to ask "does faith save you," and he answers them with a resounding yes. This series on Galatians cover's both the ministry of Paul as described in Acts 13-14 and the epistle to the Galatians itself. Dr. Das shares Paul's greatest concern, namely, "How do Christians relate to the Law?" Relying on the words of Christ and the Prophets, learn about Paul's message of Christian freedom in Christ and how it still applies to you today.
