18 Digging Deeper Meaning in Life Where do people look for meaning in life? Why do they get up in the morning, and what sorts of things do they say give them purpose? We all want security, identity, and meaning in our lives, right? What happens when we trust in these too much? Look up Question 24, and, in your own words, summarize what it means to have a "god" in the box to the right. As Christians, we look to the one true God for all that we need. This is the God who created and sustains us, who redeemed us by giving Himself to be crucified for us in the God-man, Jesus, and who sanctifies us through the power of His Holy Spirit. There is no other God. But Why? Why would God want us to find our security, identity, and meaning in Him alone above every- thing else? Look over Question 25. Write out why below. What Is Sin?
