Welcome Use a train whistle, bird whistle, or playground whistle to get the group's attention. Welcome them to Day 1, and say the Take-Home Point together. Play! Line each team up behind a bucket. Explain and demonstrate the steps to play Float the Ark. 1. Blindfold the first person in line. 2. The second person in line acts as their guide to fill the cup, run to the pool, and dump the water. 3. They run back to line and the guide gets blindfolded, while the next person in line becomes the guide. 4. Teams continue until they have enough water in the pool to float their ark. Connect End the activity, and bring the group(s) to the middle. Make a sitting circle that includes leaders and helpers. Connect the game to today's Take-Home Point. ■ Why did Noah and his family need to build an ark? ■ Do you think it was hard for Noah to trust God to save him and his family during the flood? Why? ■ How hard was it to trust your guide when you were blindfolded? What could have gone wrong? ■ Noah didn't know where he was going. Is it ever hard to trust God because you couldn't see Him? ■ God promised Noah that He would keep Noah and his family safe. What does God promise you? Close Say the Take-Home Point; dismiss kids to their next activity. Supply List Getting Ready 1. Set up a kiddie pool for each group at the far end of your space.
