Defend the Faith with "The Reason I Believe: The Basics of Christian Apologetics: https://www.cph.org/p-31028-The-Reason-I-Believe-The-Basics-of-Christian-Apologetics.aspx In this episode of An Apology for Faith, Dr. Lohmeyer tackles the issue of creation vs. evolution. He covers the history of both explanations of the world—taking the pro creation stance—and discusses the right relation of faith and reason. Dr. Lohmeyer also considers what it means for us to be created “in the image of God.” The teaching, he argues, directly effects a Christian response to every ethical topic, especially things like abortion and euthanasia. What does it mean to be a creationist? Is the Bible still relevant today? Why is creationism not taught? Is the bible a trustworthy and reliable source? Is it the historic word of God? These questions plague faithful young Christians daily in the secular classroom. In this series from @Concordia Publishing House , Dr. Jan Lohmeyer addresses to these and other questions so that the young men and women of the church may reconcile their experience of the world with God’s good word. Future topics will include creation vs. evolution, the problem of evil, the existence of Satan, and the miracles of the Old and New Testaments. Find other faithful books at cph.org! About the Speaker: Dr. Jan Lohmeyer has served The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod for 35 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator with teaching experiences at every level. He is presently the Director of Curriculum & Instruction for Lutheran High School North in Houston, Texas, and he is an Adjunct Professor for Concordia University of Texas.
