24 Early Childhood Leader Guide 20 minutes Closing Puppet Skit You need: Sidney the Sloth Puppet, Puppet Stage, Puppet Script, rainstick, binoculars, Bible, Passalong CD & DVD or Director USB, media player, Lesson 1 Early Childhood Leaflets, Lesson 1 Collectibles, other take-home items Shake the rainstick to get the children's attention. Seat the children on the floor or on carpet squares. SING: "Jesus Loves Me" (Track 14). Bring out Sidney the Sloth. Present the skit. Find out that the Leader doesn't find the treasure he or she is looking for at the waterfall, but he or she plans to return prepared to explore more of the rainforest tomorrow. Pray After the skit, close with this echo prayer. Remind the children to fold their hands and repeat after you. Dear God, / thank You / for saving Noah. / Thank You for saving us. / Help us always / to trust Your promises. / We treasure You. / In Jesus' name we pray. / Amen. SAY: We have had so much fun here today. We learned how God kept His promise to rescue Noah. And we learned about the rainbow as a sign of God's promise to us. We also learned that God keeps all His promises to us, His children. Show the children the Lesson 1 Collectible you will give them and describe it. SAY: We learned so much today. Let's celebrate and do our cheer one more time. SAY: RAINFOREST EXPLORERS! (One hand on hip, one shading eyes, look around.) GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES! (Point up with one hand.) TEAMS: GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES! (Point up with one hand.) JESUS LEADS THE WAY! (Point up with both hands.) Show Lesson 1 Early Childhood Leaflet.
