clearly. When we look at His Word, we can see that we are sinners. We can see that we have a Savior, Jesus! We can see His promises for us. He promises to love us, forgive us, and be with us! ■ God washed the earth with a flood. He washed away our sins through Jesus in the waters of Baptism. He made us new! His steadfast love is ours forever! Point to the poster, then read the verse together. God Sees! Tell the students to sit down and cover their eyes with their hands. Remind them there are many situations in our lives where we can trust God even though we cannot see what He has planned. After you say each of the phrases below, have students uncover their eyes and respond with "God Sees!" When I feel lost and worried God sees! When I am alone God sees! When I need forgiveness God sees! In everything I need God sees! Because He loves me so God sees! PRAY: Dear God, / You can see everything about my life. / Thank You for having a plan just for me. / Thank You for Jesus. / Thank You for forgiveness. / Thank You for Your steadfast love. / In Jesus' name. / Amen. Say the Take-Home Point, and dismiss teams. The Bible story today told about God rescuing Noah. Noah could not see exactly how things were going to work out, but he did what God told him to do. Even when all he could see was water everywhere, He knew that God would take care of him. He knew that God keeps His promises. Perform the experiment: 1. Hold up the cup of clear water. Explain how it is transparent—we can clearly see through it. 2. Add 4–5 drops of blue food coloring to the water. The water should be too dark to see through. Stir. Point out that now we cannot see clearly through the water. 3. Add ½ teaspoon baking soda to the water. Stir. Ask the students if they can now see clearly through the glass. (The water will not yet be clear.) 4. Add 1 tablespoon bleach to the water. Stir. Keep stirring! The water will become clear! Connect the experiment with the Bible account: ■ Noah was told to build an ark. He could not see any reason to do so. But He trusted God's directions. He did what God told him to do. ■ Noah was on the ark for a long time. He could see nothing but water as He looked out from the ark. But he knew that God said He would care for him and his family. He trusted that God had a plan. ■ God has a plan for us. We are His children. We do not need to see the details of His plan for us. He has given us His clear Word to tell us all about His steadfast love for us in Jesus, our Savior. Say the Take-Home Point, shown on the previous page. Bible Memory Verse Poster Point Point to the Bible Memory Verse Poster, and discuss the following: ■ This girl is using her binoculars! Can she see everything with them? No, but she can see some things very clearly! ■ When Noah looked out over the flooded earth, what did he see? (Water) Yet he still knew that God was with him. Noah trusted God's plan. ■ Can you see all of the things God has planned for you? (No) Yet we can see some things perfectly Bible Challenge
