Open Welcome kids as they arrive. Introduce yourself and any volunteers working in your area. Connect God keeps His promises! The Bible says, "How precious is Your steadfast love, O God!" (Psalm 36:7). Connect the craft with the Bible story with these key points: ■ After the flood, Noah was surrounded by water and couldn't see what was below or where to go. ■ God kept His promise to care for Noah and guide him. He guided Noah safely to dry land. ■ Sometimes we can't see where we're going either. We get caught up in doing bad things. ■ We can trust God's promise to love and care for each of us. He forgives us when we are lost in sin. We can ask God to forgive us through Jesus, our Friend and Savior. ■ As you make your ark, think about how God keeps His promises to love and care for you—even when you can't see where you are going! Create Share the "Craft Prep" instructions with the students. Point out the supplies, and let the kids create. Craft Leaders and Team Leaders help and encourage individuals as needed. Make sure the finished crafts have time to dry before giving them to the children. Close Close by reviewing the Take-Home Point and repeating the Bible verse for today. Craft Prep 1. Gather supplies. 2. Fold the ark according to the directions with the craft. 3. Write your name on the bottom of the boat. 4. Decorate the ark using markers, colored pencils, or paint.
