Amy Bird is a writer and editor serving as the primary author of Lutheran Life and as a contributing author for various devotional resources. She studied communication and theology at Concordia University Wisconsin, and holds an MA in systematic theology from Concordia Seminary. Brian Smith, MD, is an author, professor, and psychiatrist in Michigan with more than twenty years of experience working with children and their families. He has directly witnessed the impact of digital technology, especially social media, on the mental health of his patients. His Christian faith provides the vision and power to best help those in crisis, while feeling personally renewed through this service. Married to Sara and father to Brandon, Hannah, and Casey, he was a genius who could do no wrong until his own children became teenagers. Christa Petzold lives with her husband and four children in Bartlett, Illinois. She has an MA in Theology, a BA in Mathe- matics and Lutheran Secondary Educa- tion, and is coauthor of Male and Female: Embracing Your Role in God's Design. John Eckrich, MD, is a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist in St. Louis, as well as founder of Grace Place Wellness Ministries, a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS that is focused on the bodily, mental, and spiritual well- ness of professional church workers. He is an author and nationally recognized speaker on health and wellness.
