Amy Bird is a writer and editor serving as the primary author of Lutheran Life and as a contributing author for various devotional resources. She studied communication and theology at Concordia University Wisconsin, and holds an MA in systematic theology from Concordia Seminary. Amy lives in Federal Way, Washington, with her husband, Aaron, who serves as a pastor. Rev. Dr. Richard Davenport lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas, with his wife and son. He serves as pastor at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and maintains a blog on sacramental theology: sacramentalstreams.wordpress.com Lindsey Hayes is a director of Christian edu- cation (DCE) currently serving as a wife and mother in Nebraska. She loves helping people pass on faith in Jesus to the next generation, and she is thankful for the work of the Holy Spirit, who actually makes it happen. Brandon Metcalf lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife, Dana, and their wonderful kids. He loves any chance to teach, write, or speak about the truths of God and apply them to the lives of God's people, especially in the areas of identity, vocation, and relationships. Michael Newman has served in ministry since 1987. After more than twenty years in local church outreach, he began helping to catalyze a Gospel movement in Texas. He now serves as president of the Texas District LCMS. Michael loves writing, running the Texas roads, and spending time with his family. He is grateful that Jesus came to give the gift of life (John 10:10). Shelly Schwalm is a director of Christian education (DCE) serving in university ministry at Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Shelly is a 2010 graduate of the DCE program at Concordia, St. Paul, and more recently completed her MFA in creative writing. Julianna Shults is a DCE serving as program manager for LCMS Youth Ministry. With a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in community development, Julianna has a passion for helping teens and young adults share the Gospel through leadership and service. She co-hosts the podcast End Goals (available on KFUO.org) and co-authored Relationships Count from CPH. Julianna is a self-proclaimed nerd, coffee snob, and obsessive aunt.
