INFANTS & TODDLERS EARLY CHILDHOOD EARLY ELEMENTARY UPPER ELEMENTARY WHO IS GOD? God created everything. God is good. Jesus is God, and Jesus loves me. God loves me very much, even though I can't see Him. He hears my prayers. God is the Creator of the universe. The Trinity is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all knowing, all powerful, and all present. God loves me no matter what. WHO AM I? WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR? I am God's child. God helps me help others. I am a child of God. I have a family, friends, classmates, and a neighborhood. I am created in Gods image. I am a sinner who needs Jesus. I treat others how I want to be treated. I am forgiven in Jesus. God gives me individual gifts, which I can use to bless others. WHERE IS GOD? HOW DO I INTERACT WITH HIM? God is everywhere. God is always with me. God hears me when I pray. God is everywhere. I learn about God in devotions, church, and Sunday School. God is all present. God gives grace through Baptism and Communion. I can pray anywhere and anytime. I can have personal devotions. HOW DOES GOD WORK THROUGH THE CHURCH? People at church care about me. At church, I learn about God, sing, and pray. The pastor helps me learn about the Bible. He baptized me. I can worship and learn God's Word. I can memorize Bible verses and share them. I can actively participate in greeting, ushering, singing, or as an acolyte. WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR US? Jesus went to the cross to save me from my sin. He died and came back to life. I will live with God in heaven someday because Jesus washed all my sins away. Jesus died and rose for all. He is preparing a place for me in heaven. Jesus did not deserve to die a painful death, but He did it because He loves me. HOW DOES GOD WORK THROUGH PEOPLE? God helps me through my family, teachers, and others. I can help too. My family keeps me safe and gives me what I need. Community helpers show care too. I am called to be a good child, sibling, friend, student, and neighbor. Teachers, youth leaders, coaches, and more help me. I can help others too. MILESTONE MARKER RUBRIC
