WHO IS GOD? Older adults know that God is a constant, loving, ever-present God. Older adults can see God's fingerprints all over their lives when they think back on past events and situations, and they can use their life experiences to teach peers, grandkids, teens, and friends about Jesus' death and His resurrection. Faith Questions WHERE IS GOD? HOW DO I INTERACT WITH HIM? Senior adults can discern where God promises to be present. They cultivate a close relationship with Him by spending time in His Word, through prayer, and receiving the Lord's Supper—all ways that the Lord is present with His people. Older adults can interact with God daily through personal devo- tions, in Bible study, and through prayer. WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR US? Senior adults understand that God has saved His people through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, and that through Baptism, God welcomes believers into His family. Senior adults can share their faith and the message of eternal life through conversing with oth- ers, catching up with an old friend, or demonstrating God's saving work to their children and grandchildren by faithful example. HOW DOES GOD WORK THROUGH THE CHURCH? Seniors understand how God uses the church to serve those in need globally. Seniors observe Him through ministry lead- ers who teach Bible classes, music directors who carefully select hymns for worship, and even through parents teaching children how to participate in the service. Senior adults can also witness God at work through their own faithful tithes and offerings. WHO AM I? WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR? Senior adults understand that through Baptism, forgiveness, and God's saving work on the cross, they are not only His chil- dren but also have received the gift of eternal life. Older adults observe that their neighbors include friends, caregivers, children, grandchildren, and anyone else they meet. They can share their faith with others in any situation. HOW DOES GOD WORK THROUGH PEOPLE? Older adults are able to recognize God's work through others. They know that He works through caregivers who provide meals, physical therapists who provide healing, and grandchildren who offer joy and laughter. Senior adults can also witness God's work through ministers who share God's Word and Sacraments with them every Sunday. "Older adults know that God is a constant, loving, ever-present God."
